
Christine Thomas Scott, 79, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Providence Point Nursing Home in Paducah.
Christine was born in La Center on May 26, 1942 to the late Samuel Thomas Sr. and Ollie Mae Motley Thomas. She was of the Baptist Faith. Christine was a very loving and caring woman who never met a stranger in her life. She was always positive and uplifting and always had a smile on her face. In her free time, Christine loved to cook and decorate her home, especially around the Holidays. She loved her whole family dearly and had a special granddaughter, Jaliyah, who lived with her. Christine will be remembered as being the most loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother.
Christine is survived by her four daughters, Wilma Thomas of Omaha, Nebraska, Joyce Thomas of Fulton, Kentucky, Wanda Lewis of Arlington and Christina Scott of Clinton; four sons, Larry (Theresa) Scott of Arlington, Dickie (Donna) Scott of Fulgham, Stevie (Tammie) Scott of Bardwell and Vickie “Joker” (Patty) Scott of Fulton, Kentucky; five brothers, James Thomas of Clinton, Ricky Thomas of Holland, Ohio, Larry Thomas of Columbus, Kentucky, Bobbie Thomas of Erie, Pennsylvania and Donald Thomas of Waverly, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Scott; one granddaughter, Kayla Smith; six sisters, Jewell Young, Effie Mason, Artie Mae Scott, Laverne Crumble, Wanda Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Smalls; two brothers, Raymond Peter Thomas and Sammie “Plaz” Thomas; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rev. Anthony Johnson and Rev. Franklin Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Mr. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakton, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
