Eagles top Gleason, Tenn., fall to CCA

After a three-game skid, the CFS Eagles were back in the win column with Thursday’s 55-53 win over Gleason, Tenn. The Eagles trailed at the end of each of the first three quarters. Down 45-41 going into the fourth, they out-scored Gleason 14-8 to take the win by two.

Led by Isaac Hovekamp’s 19 points, three others in double figures included Andrew Dunning and Elijah Grigg with 12 each and 10 from Luke Grigg. Dunning recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 10 rebounds.

Saturday, the Eagles lost a hard-fought game to Community Christian Academy 59-56 on Senior Night. Dunning’s 16 points led four players in double figures. Hovekamp finished with 13, Chance Gaston 11 and 10 from Luke Grigg.

A tough schedule this week begins on Tuesday when they host Murray (17-3) followed by a Friday game at home against Marshall County (14-8) and Saturday at home against Hickman County (7-11).
