Public assistance needed in locating boat owner

On the morning of January 13, 2022 the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a vessel floating upside down in the Tennessee River, near the Ledbetter Bridge.

With the assistance of James Marine Inc. personnel and equipment, the vessel was pulled to the shore and removed from the water.

After examining the vessel, it was determined that the motor as well as the VIN number plate have been intentionally removed.

The vessel is an older model fishing / bass boat, two-tone in color and manufactured by a well-known brand in the industry.
