Born Thursday, June 3, 1937 in Marshall County, KY, he was the son of the late William Russell and the late Lizzie (Stallcup) Russell.
Surviving are his wife, Nell (Phelps) Russell of Calvert City, KY, sons, Keith Russell, wife Mandy of Calvert City, KY and Gerald Russell of Hendersonville, TN, sister, Norma Trexler Norman of Calvert City, KY, and grandchildren, Mark Allen Russell and Savannah Nicole Russell of Calvert City, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bobby Gene Russell and William Charles Russell, sisters, Lois Walker, Annie Walker Boyd, Lubbie Nell Joyce and Virginia Sue Russell.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Bro. Mark Shumaker and Bro. Jimmy Eaves officiating.
Interment will follow in Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
