Mr. Billy Dean Reed, age 86, of Hickory passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.
He was of the Baptist Faith, a retired employee of General Tire & Rubber Company and a retired farmer.
Mr. Reed is survived by one son, Greg Reed of Benton, KY; one brother, Jimmy Ray Reed of Hardin, KY; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Gough Reed; one son, Robert David Reed; one daughter, Rhonda Gail Wade; two brothers, Bobby Reed and Jerry Reed; two sisters, Donna Castleberry and Barbara Faye Clark; and his parents, Clyde Bass and Jessie Filbeck Reed.
Graveside services for Mr. Billy Dean Reed will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Highland Park Cemetery. Rev. Keith Allred will officiate. Interment will follow.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Reed, Ethan Reed, Austin Reed, J. R. Mayes, Russell Strong and Brad Scillian.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one’s own favorite charity.
