Megan Hertter signs with Florida Southern College golf program

Megan Hertter was joined by her parents Donnie and Bobbie, when she signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday to play golf for Florida Southern College.

Megan Hertter signed on Wednesday at Marshall County High School to continue her golf career at Florida Southern College in Lakeland. She will play for Head Coach Robbie Davis who has led the Moccasins womens’ team for over 20 years.

Megan has been a member of the Lady Marshals golf team for six years and during that time, they have advanced to the KHSAA State Golf Championships all six years with back-to-back State Championship titles in 2020 and 2021. Megan has been a member of the All-Region Team for five straight years as well as 2nd Team All-State for two years. She was awarded the 2020 Justin Thomas Grant and named to the BGT Bluegrass Golf All-Stars. During the 2020-2021 Junior Golf and high school seasons, Megan had six individual wins and 18 top five finishes.

“Megan has been a key player for the Lady Marshals since her seventh grade year and has been a major part of our successes, especially the past two seasons”, Head Coach Aaron Beth said.

Megan has maintained a 4.14 GPA and awarded the KHSAA Academic All-State Honor for six years.

Coach Beth said Megan has been an amazing leader on the team by supporting her teammates and building lifelong friendships. She has an incredible work ethic that shows through her time and effort not only on the golf course but in the classroom. She always gives 100 percent.

Along with her parents, Megan was joined at her signing by members of her family, the golf team, coaches and friends.
