Charlie was born on January 20, 1959 in Murray to the late Hardy Lee “Jack” and Shirley Jackson. He was not someone that was afraid of hard work and was always trying to find ways to make a dollar out of a dime. For many years he worked independently doing yard maintenance jobs and also spent time doing small engine repair work, and formerly was a member of the Hardin South Marshall Fire Department. Charlie loved fishing and he was able to find a way to turn this into a business that he could profit from. He began growing all of his own worms for bait, and eventually he began selling and shipping worms to people in many different places.
Growing up his friends gave him the name Charlie because he always made them laugh and he liked Charlie Chaplin. He loved being silly and always liked to tell people his jokes. He also loved to play his guitar, show people his magic tricks, and show off his juggling abilities. In years past, he attended church at Dexter Baptist Church where he also spent time as a song leader.
Charlie is survived by his brother, Kevin Jackson of Benton; his nephew, Kevin Austin Jackson (Tori); his niece Kaitlan Daniele Jackson; his great niece, Bailey Ray Jackson; and two great nephews, Austin Creed Jackson and Jayce Lee William Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his great niece, Peyton Madison Ann Ruff; and his parents.
