Mrs. Helen Joy Russelburg, age 86, of Mayfield passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Mayfield and a retired employee of West KY Allied Services and the Senior Citizens Center.
Mrs. Russelburg is survived by one son, Bobby (Trena) Elliott of Boaz, KY; two daughters, Rhonda Brittain of Paducah, KY and Judy (Tommy) Moore of Mayfield, KY; three brothers, Aubrey “Junior” Burkeen of Mayfield, KY, Charles “Jack” (Marilyn) Burkeen of Wingo, KY and Bobby (Becky) Burkeen of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Frances (Neal) Scoggins of Mayfield, KY; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Elliott; her second husband, Leon Russelburg; one daughter, Joy Elaine Cullen; one brother, Billy Burkeen; one sister, Lurleen Ray; and her parents, Aubrey and Nellie Copeland Burkeen.
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Joy Russelburg will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Steve Melvin will officiate. Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chris Brittian, Jay Moore, Tommy Moore, Austin Elliott, Nathan Lee and Justin Hall.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the funeral home.
