Mrs. Norma “Sue” Canter West, age 90, of Mayfield, formerly of Lynnville, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
She was a charter member of Lynnville Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. West is survived by two sons, Gordon Michael (Lisa) West of Mayfield, KY and Sammy (Molly) West of Fulton, KY; one daughter, Vicki (Roger Dale) Story of Benton, KY; eleven grandchildren, Dale Grubbs, Jamison (Annie) Clark, Nathan (Tia) Clark, Matthew West, Maranda (Zach) Givens, Marley (Steve) Doran, Marisa (Daniel) Wheeler, Damion (Mendi) Caldwell, Jeremy (Lori) Story, Jerrod (Sasha) Story and Natalie Brown; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wilson West; one daughter, Susan Kay Grubbs; three brothers, James Canter, Lonzo Griffith and Huston Griffith; three sisters, Mildred Burnett, Maxine West and Wanda Williams; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Norma “Sue” Canter West will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Mark Burnett and Rev. Daniel Fraser will officiate. Interment will follow at Lynnville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew West, Dale Grubbs, Jamison Clark, Nathan Clark, Damion Caldwell and Steve Doran.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
