Beverly was born on July 23, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to the late Olaf and Lillian Hanson. She worked as a hospital monitor technician at Western Baptist Hospital for over 30 year. Beverly was a very loving and independent lady. She enjoyed crafts, woodworking, reading and loved spending time in the kitchen baking for all of her family and friends. She was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Beverly is survived by her three daughters, Vicki Lynn Sowders (Duane) of Clarksville, TN, Barbara Freeman of Benton, and Kathryn Bristow (Terry) of Benton; her son, James William Freeman, Jr. (Jaime) of Romulus, Michigan; her sister, Lillian VanDuesen of Flint, Michigan; her brother, Richard Hanson (Elaine) of Flint, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Katlyn Sowders, Robbie Freeman, Kiara Freeman, James William Freeman III, Eden Freeman, Sammy Freeman, Shawn Coursey, and Joshua Bristow; and one great grandchild, Jacob Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Freeman; two sisters, Marge Lemcool and Dorothy Fisher; four brothers, Butch Floyd, Don Floyd, and Earl Hanson; one grandchild, Michael J. Freeman; and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
A funeral service will take place Monday, October 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home with Bro. Charles LaChance officiating. Burial will take place at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
