Obesity is something that can lead to type 2 diabetes later in life. Joining us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program recently were licensed dietitian Paul Rudd along with intern students from Murray State, Grace Murray and Cassidy Blanford. With Kentucky leading the nation in child obesity, which can later lead to diabetes, it is important to do some things each day that can improve your chances on staying diabetes-free. Rudd says the three most important things are diet, exercise and sleep. In your diet, avoid sugar and sodium, put down your electronic devices and get more exercise and Rudd says one thing that people often forget is just how important it is to get enough sleep each night.
