Dave and Carol Owens of DAV Chapter 7 out of Paducah were guests recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Carol says the purpose of the chapter is to help disabled American veterans in any way that they can. They have a shuttle bus to transport members to Marion, Illinois or St. Louis for medical care. They currently have 400 plus members and any veteran who has been honorably discharged and has a disability can join, and it is also open to their family members. The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 7 is located on Paducah’s south side. For more information go to dav.org.
