Kentucky State Police Arrest Benton Man after Graves County Foot Pursuit

Folsomdale, KY. (September 4, 2021) – Troopers with Kentucky State Police, Post 1 have arrested a Marshall County man after he fled from a traffic stop. Troopers observed a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, headed north on US HWY 45 N near the Folsomdale community, traveling at a high rate of speed. Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but it traveled west on Pittman Road, across KY 1241 and into a residential driveway. The operator exited the vehicle and fled into the woods on foot. As Troopers searched the area, a passerby reported a male walking west toward KY 945. Troopers located the male and it was determined he was the operator of the vehicle.

Peter F. West, 43 of Benton was arrested and charged with Speeding 16 mph Over the Limit, Reckless Driving, Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (On Foot), No Operators License, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, 1st Offense. West was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
