William P. Midkiff, age 98, of Boaz, KY passed away at 6:45 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2021 at the Mayfield Health & Rehab Center. William was of Baptist faith and attended Wice Baptist Church. William retired from Essex Wire Company where he was a laborer and machinist. He loved going dancing and never met a stranger while attending the dances.
Survivors include two sons, William “Billy” (Donna) Midkiff of Paducah and Jeff (Susan) Midkiff of Boaz; five grandchildren, Jenna (Brian) Shelby, Cory (Emi) Midkiff, Sarah (Marty) Kirschnick, Audrey Midkiff and Marcus (Tekila); six great-grandchildren, Cameron Shelby, Taylor Shelby, Landon Shelby, Carter Kirschnick, Millie Midkiff and Elicia Midkiff.
Preceding in death were his wife, Millie Julia Flores Midkiff; father, Floyd Midkiff; two sons, Mark Midkiff and Floyd “Butch” Midkiff.
No services to be held at this time. Private family burial will be held at the Hardmoney Cemetery.
