In Tuesday’s double-header at Graves County, the Lady Marshals won 2-0 and the Marshals ended the Eagles night a little early in a 10-0 win.

The Lady Marshals only lost two regular season games last year, one of those was a 1-0 loss to Graves County on a goal by Elle Carter. Tuesday, seniors Carter and leading scorer Hadley Looper, were met with the defensive wall of the Lady Marshals in the shutout.

Zoe Maxlow scored her third goal of the season five minutes in to put the Lady Marshals on the board with a 1-0 lead which held until the final 10 minutes when Kallen Fuller made it a 2-0 game. Keeper Parker Perry earned her second shutout of the season.

For the Marshals, it was their third 10-0 win in five games with nine different players in the scoring column. Three of the 10 were scored by William Lynch bringing his early season goal tally to 10.

The lead was 4-0 at halftime on six shots on goal. Alex Shaverin scored first on an assist from Jericho Evans, John Wood on an assist from Jackson Boone made it a 2-0 game, the third goal was scored by Logan Davis on another Evans assist and the fourth of the half came from Lynch.

Six goals in the second half was kicked off by Jase Strader on a Wood assist and two straight from Lynch – both on assists from Wood. A direct kick taken by Eric Hicks made it an 8-0 game and the final two goals were scored by Kian Court and Preston Lamb on a penalty kick.

The Lady Marshals improve to 3-1 and the Marshals are 4-0-1.

Both teams will play Calloway County on Thursday at home.
