
Calvert City Pickleball players were in Carbondale, Ill. this past weekend playing in the Saluki Open Pickleball Tournament on the SIU campus. SIU has six new dedicated pickleball courts adjacent to the football stadium.
With 124 entries over three days, 21 players from far Western Kentucky brought home 15 medals – 8 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze.
Dax Myhand and Leigh Toby moved up to the 4.0 Division at their previous tournament in Henderson and proved they can compete at that level after earning Gold in Henderson and Bronze in Carbondale. More players will be moving from the 3.0 Division to 3.5 Division based on their previous tournament wins.
Calvert City Pickleball is made up of players from Marshall County, McCracken County, Calloway County, Livingston County, Lyon County, Graves County, Christian County and Caldwell County.
