Lots of events coming up in Calvert City. Blair Travis with the City of Calvert joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Food Truck Fridays in Calvert City will now be from 4:30 until 7:30 at Memorial Park. And what is turning out to be a popular event, the Kentucky Lake Paddle Up on Saturday, August 21st at Kentucky Dam Village. The per-registration is full at 62, but you can still bring your own canoe or kayak and register that morning from 7 to 7:30. And Travis said a new community choir is being organized for people of all ages and abilities beginning September 9th at the Calvert City Civic Center. The choir will meet twice a month through November and will have its first performance at the Calvert City Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4th after the Lions Club Christmas Parade in Memorial Park.
