Lady Marshals, Trinity Beth set records at Lady Spartan Invitational

A third straight win to open the 2021 season for the Lady Marshals came in record-breaking fashion on Tuesday. With a new school record low team score of 285, they won the South Warren Lady Spartan Invitational by 21 stokes over second place Madisonville-North Hopkins.

The second record of the day came from Trinity Beth who set a new school individual low round of 65 (-5) on the Crosswinds Golf Club course earning the eighth grader medalist honors.

Megan Hertter took second for the Lady Marshals with a round of 71 (+1), Savannah Howell shot 74 (+4) to finish sixth, Cecelia Ray a stroke back at 75 (+5) to finish tied for seventh and Katie Roberts shot 85 to finish 19th.

The team will head to Shelbyville on Thursday to compete in the Lady Rocket Invitational and finish the week out in Lexington at the PLD Lady Bulldog Classic.
