
Mr. WIlliam “Bill” Lee Collins II, age 61, of Benton, Kentucky, died Sunday, August 1st, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born August 3rd, 1959 in Calloway County, Kentucky, Mr. Collins was the son of the late William Lee Collins, Sr. and Thelma (Jaques) Collins. A member of the Marshall County High School Class of 1978, he was an electrician with 43 years of service and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 816. Mr. Collins enjoyed farming, working with cattle and hunting. He was a member of Briensburg United Methodist Church and Briensburg-T. L. Jefferson Masonic Lodge No. 401.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Louise (LaRoche) Collins; four sons, WIlliam Lee Collins III of Benton, Kentucky, Chris Main, of Benton, Kentucky, Timothy Main, of Crosby, Texas, and Jimmy Main of Owensboro, Kentucky; two daughters, Angelica Snipes of La Porte, Texas, and Casi Hedges of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Sassy.
Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Wanda Jo Collins; and one daughter, Dessa Main.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West Fifth Street, Benton, Kentucky. Rev. Timothy Main will officiate with interment to follow in Maple Spring Cemetery near Fairdealing.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 at the funeral home
