Mrs. Kit Carol Washam Hudson, age 69, of Southern Pines, NC passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.
She started her career in the CIA but switched to technical and creative writing. She received a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Karen Cross Washam Youngblood of Vass, NC and Mrs. Kris Ann Washam Kretzmann; three nephews; two nieces; one grandnephew; and two grandnieces.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Scott Carleton Washam; her aunt, Linda Mae Washam Reese; and her parents, James William and Barbara Jean Carleton Washam.
Graveside services for Mrs. Kit Carol Washam Hudson will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Highland Park Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow.
There is no visitation scheduled. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
