Mr. Richard Stephenson, age 84, of Central City, KY, formerly of Dublin, KY, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, at his residence.
Richard was born in Dublin, KY, to Edgar and Lillian (Dunevant) Stephenson. He graduated from Milburn High School and later moved to Michigan where he was employed and retired from DTE Energy of Detroit. During his retirement, Richard enjoyed traveling the country and spending his winters in Tucson. His days there were spent exploring the desert, visiting flea markets, and cooking catfish.
Richard is survived by one son, Jeff Stephenson of Mayfield, KY; two daughters, Lorretta (Tony) DeLuna of Yucca Valley, CA and Paula (Robbie) Rager of Bremen, KY. Also listed among the surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Lillian, his son, Gregory Todd, and his four brothers, Donald, David, Phillip and Edwin Gene Stephenson.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the Dublin Baptist Church Cemetery in Dublin, KY. Rev. Larry Shadowen will officiate. No public visitation is scheduled. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the time of the service. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of the arrangements
