
Charles Cole, 84, of Paducah, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Charles was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 12, 1936 to the late LaVern and Lovia Cole. He was a 1956 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School where he played football. Charles owned and operated Cole Construction Company. He enjoyed restoring old homes back to their original beauty. Charles was a member of South Paducah Kiwanis Club. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Peggy Jean Smithson Cole of Paducah; one son, Charles L. “Chip” Cole, Jr. and wife, Debra of Mississippi; one step-daughter, Lisa Chandler and husband, Mark of Paducah; one step-son, Tim Vasseur of Murray; and two grandchildren, Zachary Cole and Logan Cole.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Ferrell; his parents; two sisters, Peggy Penn and Norma Bearden; and two brothers, Jimmy Cole and Robert “Toby” Cole.
A graveside service for Charles will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Woodlawn Memorial Garden with Charles L. “Chip” Cole, Jr. officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
