Rev. W. Glenn Hill, age 80, of Murray, Kentucky, died on, Friday, July 16, 2021, at his home.

Rev. Hill was born on May 17, 1941, in McNairy County, Tennessee to the late Walter Lee Hill and Willie Vance Auberry Hill. He was a retired United Methodist Minister from the Memphis Conference, where he had served the following list of churches in West Tennessee and Western Kentucky, Paris Circuit, Chapel Hill, Johnson’s Chapel, Bethesda, Palestine, and Henry; Elm Grove in Tipton County, Tennessee; Fulton First-Cayce Cooperative Ministry, later Cayce UMC, Cayce, Kentucky; Trinity-East Jackson, leading it to become East Trinity UMC in Jackson, Tennessee; Malesus UMC, just south of Jackson; Henderson First-Trinity Extended Ministry, Henderson, Tennessee; Dresden First-Extended Ministry, Dresden, Tennessee; Reidland UMC, Reidland, Kentucky; Aldersgate in Jackson, Tennessee; and Interim at South Pleasant Grove UMC, in Murray, Kentucky. He was a member of the Martin’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Hill, Bob Hill, and Phillip Hill; as well as one sister, Mary Lee Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Ann Hill of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Melissa Cearfoss and husband David of Marietta, Georgia; one son, Roy Glenn Hill and wife Lisa of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, David C. Hill of Ellijay, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Hill of Murray, Kentucky and Vanesia Hill of Paris, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Christopher Hill and wife Alison of Sedalia, Kentucky, Stephen Hill and wife Sara of Dexter, Kentucky, Jonathan Cearfoss, Rebecca Cearfoss, Timothy Cearfoss and wife Angel all of Marietta, Georgia; as well as five great-grandchildren, Sawyer Hill, Colley Hill, Sadie Hill, Ripley Hill, and Mac Hill all of Murray, Kentucky.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, July 19, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Steve Cavitt and Rev. Tim Escue officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
