At the conclusion of the First Region softball and baseball championships Monday evening, the All-Region Tournament Teams were announced. Senior Cayson Conner and freshman Gracelyn Darnall earned selections to the softball All-Region Team for the Lady Marshals. Senior Griffin Darnall and sophomore Chase Hayden were named to the baseball All-Region Team for the Marshals.
First Region Tournament Most Valuable Player awards went to McCracken County’s Ben Higdon and Zoe Smithson. The Lady Mustangs beat Calloway County 14-3 to win their fifth title, the first since 2017. The Mustangs defeated St. Mary 9-4 to win their seventh straight title. Both teams advance to the Semi State round on Saturday.
