Mr. James “Jim” Maziarka, 65 of Gilbertsville, KY, died Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah. Born July 22nd, 1955 in Chicago, IL, Mr. Maziarka was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (Frederick) Maziarka. He was employed by Paducah Printing Company and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City. Jim was a supporter of Marshall County High School athletics and proud “Gramps” to his three grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda (Grell) Maziarka; one son, James “Jimmy” Maziarka, wife Lacey of Benton, KY; one daughter, Anna Faughn, husband Jake of Hardin, KY; and three grandchildren, Harrison Maziarka, Rosslyn Maziarka, and Maebry Faughn.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nancy Maziarka Gasper.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Sunday, June 6th, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City, KY. Father Brian Johnson will officiate with interment to follow in St. Henry’s Cemetery in Aurora.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon Sunday, June 6th, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West Fifth Street, Benton, KY.
