Lester ‘Pete” Christy, 66, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 10:52 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Baptist Health Paducah. He was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Pete was a retired plumber and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed drawing, fishing, working with his hands and helping people in need. Pete was a very faithful person and loved his God with all his heart and his favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 40:31.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Bonnie Howard Christy; mother, Delores May Griggs Christy of Louisville, Kentucky; daughters, Lesley Christy Hutchison of Paducah, Kentucky and Kacie Bremer of Keswick, Virginia; son, Adam Christy of Butler, Pennslyvania; step-daughter, Shelley Hill of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; step son, Ty Howard of Clintonville, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his father, Lester Hamilton Christy, Sr.; one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Shane Davenport officiating. Entombment will follow at Brook Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation will begin 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
