Samaritan’s Purse is an organization that, among other things, helps send out millions of shoe boxes each year full of personal and fun items for children all over the world. Some that might not receive anything else at Christmas. Karen Powell and Joe Ed Brooks from Breinsburg Baptist Church in Marshall County joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Powell said that last year the church helped send out 1,839 boxes and from the 1st region plus Massac County, Illinois almost 14,000 boxes.
