
Karen Boyett age, 78, of Boaz passed away at 12:53 p.m. Sunday May 9, 2021 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Karen was a native of St. Louis, MO and a member of the St. John Catholic Church. Karen was retired and was the former operator of the Carosel at the Kentucky Oaks Mall. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed drawing as a past time.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James Herbert Boyett; two sons, Robert “Bobby” Boyett and wife, Sherie of Hickory, KY and Richard “Rick” Boyett of Boaz; one brother, James Coyle VanRhein (Barbara) St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren, Chris (Audrey) Boyett, Mason Boyett, Logan Boyett, Elizabeth (Anthony) Mays, Matthew (Kaley) Boyett and Nicki Boyett; six great- grandchildren, Maverick, Lynlee, Raelynn, Maddie, John and Luke Boyett; two step-grandchildren, Jordan (Emily) Blankman, Chelsea (Tim) Ellington; two step-great grandchildren, Olivia Ellington and Will Ellington.
Preceding in death was her parents, Coyle VanRhein and Helen Tinholder VanRhein; one daughter, Colleen Boyett, one son, James Herbert Boyett III, one sister, Pamela VanRhein.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
