Jessica Irwin with VFW Post 1084 near Benton joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. The VFW Memorial Day program will be Monday, May 31st, Memorial Day starting at 11am at the Veterans’ Honor Plaza at Mike Miller Park in Draffenville. Irwin says state commander Gary Smithers, who is from this area, will be the guest speaker. Irwin says everyone is invited to the Friday night dinners at the post, including at times steak dinners and shrimp dinners.
