BENTON, KY — Marshall County High School has recognized English teacher Tessa Powell as April’s Remarkable Marshal. A Remarkable Marshal is a teacher or staff member, selected by a panel of peers each month, who consistently exhibits professionalism, dedication, and creativity.
Powell was nominated by fellow English teacher, Laura Kinder: “Tessa brings joy to her colleagues and her students. She is positive and encouraging, improving the climate of the school. She takes the time to get to know all of her students, and she works hard to make learning fun and meaningful. Tessa is also one of the funniest, nicest people I’ve ever met, and she keeps the English hallway in high spirits.” The title was passed on from last month’s recipient Shelby Oakley.
