
William “Bill” Bryant, 89, of Benton, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Marshall County Hospital.
Bill was born in Dearborn, Michigan on November 13, 1931 to the late Joe and Lorena Bryant. He proudly served our country in the US Marines. Bill was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He enjoyed spending time working on old cars and loved to read, especially Louis L’Amour books and the Bible. Bill was a member of Hamlet Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Kara Hamby and husband, Derek; his grandson, Aaron Holley and wife, Courtney; daughter-in-law, Karon Holley and husband, Lendell; and two great-granddaughters, Lily and Lia Hamby all of Benton. He is also survived by three brother-in-law’s, Raymond Turner, Bobby Woods (Linda) and William Woods (Benetta); two sister-in-law’s, Janice Gaines and Jody Bratcher and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Alice Woods Bryant; his son, Joe Ralph Bryant; his parents; four sisters; two brothers; and sister-in-law, Laneda Turner.
A graveside service for Bill will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Dunn Cemetery in Benton.
There will be no public visitation.
