
Shirley Ann Short, 80, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Short was a retired Blue Print Operator with Monsanto Chemical Company in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a member of Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle where she was very active in Hospital Ministry.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 32 years, Emmitt Earl Short; three sons, Tonie Allen Johnson and wife, Donna of Nixa, Missouri, Richard Scott Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia and Jason Daniel Johnson and wife, Tina of Cartersville, Georgia; a stepdaughter, Vicki Short of Fairview Heights, Illinois; a stepson, Randy Short of Collinsville, Illinois; ten grandchildren and twelve geat-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn Copeland and Gerrie Sue Sexton and husban, Bob all of Paducah; a brother, James Douglas Smith and wife, Nancy of Columbus, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mickey Lee Johnson; a stepson, Steven Short. Her parents were James Herman Smith and Mary Louise Scott Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Richard Romain and Rev. Rick Schellhardt officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
