Whitley Watwood signs to play soccer at Auburn University at Montgomery

Whitley Watwood signed on Friday at MCHS to play soccer at Auburn University at Montgomery. Whitley was joined by her Tracy and Kristi and brothers Quaid and Trayson.

Marshall County girls soccer player, Whitley Watwood, signed her letter of intent on Friday to continue her athletic and academic career at Auburn University at Montgomery.

Whitley was a vital part of the Lady Marshals soccer team’s four straight district and regional championships during her high school career. She was selected to the Kentucky High School Girls Soccer Association Second Team All-State in 2020, the All-Region First Team in 2020, the All-District Team in 2019 and 2020 and the All-Region Second Team in 2019. She also earned a selection to the 2020 Region One All-Tournament Team.

Whitley established herself as one of the best overall players in the region her senior season and is one of the most consistent players to put on the Lady Marshals uniform. She is a true student-athlete maintaining above a 4.0 grade point average and has been a servant leader for the Lady Marshals throughout her high school career.

The soccer program is excited that Whitley will have the opportunity to continue her playing career as a Warhawk at Auburn University at Montgomery.
