Mary Doris Ferguson Hopper, age 89, of Columbus, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Clinton Place Nursing Home in Clinton, Kentucky.
Mary was born on March 21, 1932 to the late Homer and Lillian Forrester Ferguson. She was a member of Obion Baptist Church in Columbus. Mary worked for over 26 years as a cook for the American River Transportation Company.
Mary is survived by her sister, Alla Frizzell of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hopper; her son, John Anthony Hopper; two brothers, J.L. Ferguson and Wilbern Ferguson; and her parents.
A private burial will be held at Zion Cemetery in Columbus, Kentucky. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington is in charge of arrangements.
