BENTON, KY — Marshall County High School is starting a new tradition by recognizing a teacher or staff member who consistently exhibits professionalism, dedication, and creativity. Each month a panel of teachers will select one recipient from peer nominations.
Shelby Oakley, special education teacher, was recognized for the month of March as the school’s first Remarkable Marshal. Mrs. Oakley was nominated by Katia Godzicki, instructional assistant: “Shelby is dedicated to motivating and inspiring not only her students but her fellow co-workers. She not only does her job efficiently, but she cares about her work and puts her heart into it. She is a blessing to work with and does amazing work with her students!”
Another member of the MCHS staff will be recognized as a Remarkable Marshal in April.
