Superintendent Trent Lovett was our guest on Coffee Call

Marshall County Schools Superintendent Trent Lovett joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. After 13 years as superintendent, Lovett announced his retirement recently. He has spent 32 years in the school system. Lovett said technology has really changed many facets of education today, and with the pandemic new ways of teaching came to the forefront. He said more and more students have returned to in-person instruction and he believes the face-to-face instruction is best for both the students and teachers. He says education today focuses on teaching students problem solving skills, communication and teamwork. Lovett says specific skills are also being taught that can help students transition directly into the workforce. June 30, 2021 will be Lovett’s final day as superintendent.
