Special Olympic teams earn silver at State Basketball Showcase

LOUISVILLE – Marshall 1 and Marshall 2 Special Olympic basketball teams earned silver medals this past Saturday at the State Basketball Showcase held at Mid-America Sports in Louisville.

The State Basketball Showcase gives athletes the opportunity to display their proficiency in five basic basketball skills — shooting, free throw shooting, speed dribble, pass and catch and dribble and shoot. Each player is scored based on performance and the team with the highest point totals wins.
