Zion Harmon releasing a 3-pointer against Thomas Nelson on Feb. 21, led the Marshals with 26 points in Friday’s 73-55 win over Union County.

A 26 point night from Zion Harmon who got his first start since January 18 due to an injury, led the Marshals in a 73-55 win on Friday over Union County.

Trailing 2-0 to start the game, Harmon was fouled shooting a 3-pointer and hit all three at the free throw line to put the Marshals up 3-2 and it was a lead they would hold the remainder of the game. Four points from Quinn Smith at the line and from the floor gave them a 7-2 lead and at the end of the first eight minutes, the Marshals held a 15-11 lead.

Cole Mills dropped in a 3-pointer to end the first quarter and opened the second with a basket for a 17-11 lead that was cut to three points on a 3-pointer from Union County’s Izaiah Manuel. The Marshals took their largest lead of the first half at 37-24 at the break, finishing out the second quarter on a three point play by Brady Miller and steal and lay-in by Harmon.

The Marshals out-scored Union County 14-7 in the third quarter to take a 20 point lead into the fourth quarter. The Braves opened the final frame on a 5-0 run before Harmon hit his fourth 3-pointer of the game, the start of an 11-0 run that gave them a 66-40 lead.

A 3-pointer by Kaden Driver put the Marshals up by 27 before Union County out-scored the Marshals by nine to finish out the game and close the winning margin to 18 points.
