Clyde Koon, 87 of Ledbetter, KY died on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at his residence.
Born Sunday, June 4, 1933 in Birmingham, KY, he was the son of the late Willard Koon and the late Mae (Collins) Koon.
He was a member of Lake City Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, to go fishing and all animals.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Koon wife Cathy of Foley, AL; daughters, Ann Sanders husband Eddy of Ledbetter, KY, Mary Jane Springs of Grand Rivers, KY; brother, Robert Koon of Princeton, KY; grandchildren, Chassity Dunn husband Dustin, Derek Springs, Willie Morris, Melanie Waller, Regina Spinney; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Jones; brothers, Marvin Koon, Frankie Koon; sisters, Hazel Moneymaker, Charlene Moneymaker, Rebecca Jean Springs; son in law, Robert Springs; and two grandchildren, and the mother of his children, Lucille (Phelps) Koon.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel, located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Mac Walls officiating.
Interment will follow in Dixon Cemetery, Grand Rivers, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
