Sarah Mills Chaney, age 48, of Murray, previously of Bardwell, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Sarah was born in Cairo, Illinois on March 26, 1972 to Louis Albert Mills, II and Nancy Walker. She was a member of Calhoun First Methodist Church of Calhoun, Georgia. Sarah loved her daughter greatly and was one of the most supportive “band moms” of Murray High. She always loved to brag on her daughter and talked about her to friends constantly. Sarah was also an animal lover and advocated for all animals in need.
Sarah is survived by her daughter, Cheyenne Chaney of Murray; parents, Louis Albert Mills, II of Paducah and Nancy Walker of Murray; Cheyenne’s father and Sarah’s best friend, Tim Chaney of Murray; three sisters, Erin Hornberger of Murray, Brandy Akers of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Amber Bray of Dayton, Tennessee; one brother, Lou Mills of Nashville, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sarah Virginia Walker.
A memorial service for Sarah will be held at a later date. Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Bardwell is in charge of arrangements.
