Shane C. Clapp, age 57, of Symsonia, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Shane was born in Paducah on February 9, 1964 to W.C. and Archie Clapp. He graduated from Symsonia High School, class of 1982. He went on to attend PCC and Murray State University where he obtained a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and was an alumni of the Kappa Alpha. Shane was a part of many plays at the Market House Theater and PCC and was also a member of the Men’s Choir of Paducah. He was fortunate to be able to travel the world and explore different countries with family and friends. Shane worked in Human Resources at Harrah’s Casino in Metropolis and was a member of Symsonia United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Archie Smith Clapp of Symsonia; two sisters, Candy Powers, husband, Tony of Kevil and Cindy Nelson of Symsonia; two nieces, Erin Powell (Brent) and Darcy Powers; nephew, Darren Powers; great-niece, Evie Powell; two great-nephews, Dalton and Dax Powell.
He was preceded in death by his father, W.C. Clapp.
A funeral service for Shane will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Mike Farmer officiating and Bro. Mark Stephens assisting. Burial will follow at Symsonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
