Marshall County Sheriff Eddie McGuire joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. He said with the possible icy weather ahead to please prepare and if conditions are bad to stay home and off the roads if possible. McGuire said even though the weather might be bad, crime in the county continues and he and his deputies will continue to be busy. He said his department recently received a clean audit and gave much of the credit to the clerks in the office that take care of collecting fees and taxes. He said he is pleased with his staff right now, but is always looking for a good person to join his staff. McGuire says it is important to have a caring, helpful attitude toward people in order to be a good deputy.
