Mr. James M. “Tommy” Thompson, age 77 of Hardin, KY died on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray, KY.
Born Wednesday, October 6, 1943, he was the son of the late James Thompson and the late Mary Elizabeth (Edwards) Thompson.
Surviving are daughters, Lisa Morton, husband Randall of Benton, KY and Tammy Couch, husband Kelly of Benton, KY, sister, Murlene Green of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Justin Couch, Krista Pace, husband Jon, Michael Couch, Aubrey Morton, Lucas Morton, and great-grandchildren, Camdyn Couch ,Kynleigh Couch, and Jaya Pace.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carlena (Sirls) Thompson.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025, with Rev. Chuck Houston officiating.
Interment will follow in Hiett Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home.
