Mr. Thomas Allen Rundles, age 73 of Benton, KY passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his home.
Born August 11, 1947 in Dyersburg, TN, he was the son of the late John Thomas Rundles and the late Callie Elizabeth (Jackson) Owsley. He was the owner of a home maintenance and plumbing business, was a member of Christ Chapel Anglican Church. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America during the 1980’s. served as the Disabled American Veterans service officer, a member of the Col Alfred Johnston Camp #276 of Sons of Confederate Veterans. He honorably served his country in the United State Army during Vietnam and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Louellen (Jones) Rundles of Benton, KY; children, Paula Mitchell of St. Peters, MO, David Sauvage, deceased, J. Reese Rundles of Calvert City, KY, and Jennifer Rundles, deceased; brothers and sisters, Metta Lynn Augustine, deceased, Donald Rundles of Poteau, OK, Michael Rundles of Birmingham, AL; 14 grandchildren, 2 grandchildren – deceased and 3 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Dr. Thomas Y. Hiter will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on January 30, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY.
