Darrel J. Allen Sr., 81, of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Allen worked at Chic-Fil-A in Paducah, Good Humor/Breyers Ice Cream in Sikeston, MO and was a drywall hanger for many years.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Frances Marie Shelby Allen; three daughters, Lori Rodriguez and husband, Angel of Boston MA, Karen Coppage and husband, David of Georgia and Kristi Henson and husband, William of Georgia; eight sons, D.J. Allen Jr. and wife, Dianna of Lovelaceville, Joe Allen and wife, Holly of Kevil, Mark Allen and wife, Judy of Georgia, Mike Allen and wife, Cindy of Georgia, Steve Allen of Georgia, Shawn Woolever and wife, Carolann of Ft. Campbell, Neil Woolever and wife, Tina of Georgia and Waylon Lowry and wife, Carla of Georgia; twenty eight grandchildren including, Elizabeth Allen of Kevil, Abby Allen of Kevil, Michael Allen of Lovelaceville and Katie Allen of Lovelaceville; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Chenoski of Aurora, Illinois; one brother, Dennis Allen of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ernestine Pickens Allen; a granddaughter, Heather Woolever and a great-granddaughter; a brother, Dale Allen. His parents were, George and Nela Absher Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tim Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Lovelaceville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
