Kevin Murray, 51

Kevin Murray, age 51, of Benton, KY passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Marshall County Hospital.

Kevin was born on May 5, 1969 in South Pittsburg, TN to the late Tommy and Linda Ballew Murray. Most recently, Kevin worked in product safety for Mayfield Consumer Products. Before, he worked there one of the jobs he was the most proud of was working as a supervisor for Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s William H. Fuller Center. Early in life, Kevin turned his passion for his hobbies into businesses and owned both a comic book store in Paducah called “Collectors Corner” as well as “Entertainment Castle” which was a TV and movie memorabilia store. He had many other hobbies and interests, everything from playing the piano and most recently teaching himself Chinese and sign language, to Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Dungeons and Dragons, and comic books. Kevin was also a writer, and it was always a dream of his to publish a book and be able to see it on the shelves of stores.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Samantha Carver Murray; three step sons, William Burgess of Paducah, KY, Steven Burgess of Charleston, MO, and Michael Carver-Gutierrez of Benton, KY; three sisters, Lindsay Crawford, Jennifer Stewart, and Jessica Murray; one brother, Justin Murray; four grandchildren; his best friend, Eric Maki; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There are no services scheduled for Kevin Murray.
