Mrs. Alberta Stokes “Bertie” Henson, 84 of Benton, KY passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY.
Born September 25, 1936 in Calvert City, KY to the late Albert and Rosa (Holland) Stokes Henson. She was retired from Britthaven Healthcare in Benton, KY where she worked in food services as a cook. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Benton, KY.
Surviving are her daughter, Tina Henson of Benton, KY; son, Daryl Henson, Tana of Gilbertsville, KY; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Summer Holland, husband Virgil, Georgia, Courtney and Clayton of Benton, KY; Aaron Henson, wife Jamye, Jordan and Westin of Oak Level, KY; Aundera Fralix, husband Tyler, Kilah and Ty of Oak Level, KY; Samantha Griggs, husband Dusty, Carlee, Archie and Tommy of Gilbertsville, KY; Elexus Dunn of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lois Clayton Henson; brothers: James Newton, Clarence Newton and Albert Stokes, Jr.; sisters: Anna Bell Starks, Leona Goodman, Irene Ramage, Louise Jones and Laura Ellen Walston.
Private family services will be held in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Virgil Holland will officiate. Interment will follow the service in a private burial in the Edwards Cemetery, Benton, KY.
No public visitation is scheduled.
