Charlie Stone, age 91, of Ballard County and formerly of Melber, KY passed away at 11:25 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Charlie attended the Lovelaceville United Methodist Church and Owens Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from USEC and enjoyed farming, raising goats and collecting most anything. Charlie was a good honest man and loved by all that knew him.
Survivors include one step-grandson; one step-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was his wife, Virgileen Stone; parents, Henry Thomas Stone and Gertrude Ellen Blanchard Stone; step-son-Donnie Timmons; two sisters, Margaret Riley, Faye Burnett; two brothers, James Stone and infant brother, Otto Lee Stone.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Owens Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Melber, KY, with Revs. Vida McClure and Keith Osborne officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p .m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
