Mrs. Edna Magdalene “Maggie” Filbeck, age 94 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She was a Nurse Aid for Marshall County Hospital and was a member of Briensburg Church of Christ. She was a fine Christian woman who loved her children, grandchildren, and church family. Her hobbies included gardening, quilting, sorghum molasses making, and crocheting. She was a homemaker, good samaritan, and caregiver to many people in the community.
Born Friday, December 25, 1925 in Little Cypress, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ona Mullinax and the late Lillian (Smith) Mullinax.
Surviving are daughters, Sharon Hibbs, husband Stanley of Benton, KY and Janice C. Tubbs, husband Jimmie of Benton, KY, sister, Shirley Brindley of Buchanan, TN, grandchildren, Joshua Tubbs, Christy Wortham, Tammy Jones, Danita Smith, Stephanie Turley, Carla Sizelove, great grandchildren, Riley Tubbs, Wyatt Dunn, Brandan Irvan, Maggie Greer, Gage Jones, Nathan Jones, Damon Turner, Anessa Turner, Cody Driver, Hunter Fosko, Logan Sizelove, and several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Filbeck, sons, Jimmy R. Filbeck and Johnny C. Filbeck, brothers, Buster Mullinax and Jim Mullinax, and sisters, Evelyn Jones and Dulsie Howard.
Private family funeral service will be held at Collier Funeral Chapel with Gary Knuckles officiating.
Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
