Mr. Roy Brooks Mason, 88 of the Brewers, KY community died Monday, December 14th, 2020 at 2:00 a.m. at the Marshall County Hospital, Benton, KY.
Born October 12, 1932 in Graves County, KY, Mr. Mason was the son of the late Clifton and Jessie (Wyatt) Mason. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 357 in Paducah, KY and a farmer. Mr. Mason was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean conflict and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1084 of Benton, KY.
He is survived by his son Robert A. Taylor, wife Mona of Brewers, KY; Jerrie C. Bigler, husband Tim of Brewers, KY, Teresa L. Glover, husband Doug of Covington, TN, and Mary Taylor Cowles, husband Gil of Bowling Green, KY; one sister, Janie D. Palmer, husband Mike of Brewers, KY; eight grandchildren, Daniel Taylor, Branden Fletcher, Christina Woodson, Bradly Glover, Stephanie Medlin, Corbin Cowles, Catherine Cowles, and Caroline Cowles; and ten great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mason was preceded in death by his parents, his wife A. Marcella (Shafer) Mason and one brother, Walter B. Mason
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olive Cemetery in Calloway County, KY with Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.
Collier Funeral Home of Benton is in charge of the arrangements.
